Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it’s natural to have practical questions about how it all works.
Hopefully you’ll find the answers below, but if there’s anything you’re unsure about, please do get in touch. I’m always happy to answer questions before you decide whether therapy is right for you.
A free 15-minute conversation
Before we arrange our first session, I offer a free 15-minute phone or video call.
This isn’t a therapy session. It’s simply an opportunity for us to say hello, for you to ask any questions you might have, and for us both to get a sense of whether we’d be a good fit.
Finding the right therapist matters, and I don’t expect you to know that just from reading a website.
Session fees
Individual therapy in person (50 minutes): £70
Individual therapy online/phone (50 minutes): £65
Relationship therapy (50 minutes): £90
Sessions are usually held weekly, particularly at the beginning of our work together, or fortnightly, although we’ll always discuss what feels right for you.
Availability
I currently offer appointments:
- Monday 9.30am-5pm
- Tuesday 9.30am -4pm
- Wednesday 12-7pm
- Thursday 10 am-5.30pm
If I’m fully booked when you get in touch, I’ll always let you know and, where possible, offer a place on my waiting list or suggest another therapist who may be able to help.
A note about cancellations
Life happens. If you need to cancel or rearrange a session, I simply ask for 48 hours’ notice wherever possible. You’ll find the full cancellation policy in our working agreement before therapy begins, so everything is clear from the outset.
What happens next?
If you think we might be a good fit, the next step is simply to get in touch. You don’t need to know exactly what to say. Many people start with something as simple as ‘I’ve been thinking about therapy for a while…’ That’s more than enough. We’ll take it from there.
